Quality Assurance (QA) and automated and manual testing have taken centre stage in the tech recruitment domain. Having specialised in tech talent and recruitment in Poland, I have witnessed an interesting spectrum of trends, from businesses hiring a significant number of QA professionals to others departing entirely from dedicated QA roles. The Scrum framework, in fact, does not explicitly mention QA and Testers as separate roles. Instead, developers should arm themselves with the necessary skills to fulfil product goals, thereby owning all activities in the product development lifecycle.
Given these industry changes, we have embarked on a journey to understand QA better and testing in Poland. Here’s what we uncovered:
QA and Test Automation Talent Landscape in Poland
Let’s dissect the data from 11 QA and Test Automation titles in Software Engineering in Poland to discern some intriguing insights:
- The talent pool consists of 13,900 professionals.
- Over the past year, 3,139 professionals have changed jobs.
- 695 new talents joined the pool, indicating a 5% increase.

Perhaps the most interesting question that arises is, where are these talents emerging from?
