The business challenge in the Polish technical market

Yggdrasil needed to build an entirely new IT department in Poland from the ground up. This required hiring senior developers from Junior to Lead levels while navigating a market with very high competition for talent. At the start, the company required a hybrid working model, but this evolved into a mix of remote, hybrid, and on-site requirements. The main hurdle was building brand recognition in Krakow, where many global tech giants already have a presence, to attract the best engineers.

The technical hiring method

We assigned a team of nine dedicated recruiters to manage the Yggdrasil project. Our team tested various sourcing channels to find engineers who specifically preferred certain work models, whether that was fully remote or based in a Krakow office. We moved beyond standard job boards and actively supported Yggdrasil at technical events to improve their reputation among local developer communities.
