Aldi is a global discount supermarket chain that started in Germany in 1913. The company provides products across Europe, North America, and Australia. They are recognised for an efficient business model and a no-frills shopping experience. To support their digital growth, they chose Krakow to centralise software development and IT functions.

Aldi needed to build a large technical presence in Poland from scratch. This required selecting an office and onboarding leadership functions to manage the new department. The main target was to recruit 300 staff for the Technology Hub and 200 staff for their shared services division. They also needed to build and manage all HR and payroll processes for this 500-person team.

Our project team worked with the local leadership to establish the hub and support the new management. We conducted market mapping to find the specific skills required for their technical systems. We managed the end-to-end recruitment process to fill roles across several technical domains.

We grew the Aldi Technology Hub from zero to more than 500 staff within two years. This growth allowed the company to move more IT and support functions from other countries to their new office in Poland.
